Happy New Year! Did you hear that Santa visited Luke's Love in December? It was a beautiful day and the perfect setting... nothing like the Mall Santa... no long lines or high anxieties! Just loads of fun, goodies, gifts and rosy cheeks ;) And we sure have been blessed with some beautiful playground days this winter. Grab a tea or coffee and some pastry or lunch at the Old Village Store and come on over!
For safety-sake please: No Bicycles, Scooters or Skateboards are allowed inside the fenced area. *Please use the bike rack that has been installed near the front entrance.
Remember, the sun shines brightly on Cape Cod's best play area and you'll always warm your heart at Luke's Love...
We also continue to offer our most sincere 'THANKS' to all of the Volunteers who turned out on October 8-10, 2009 for our Community Build event. It was an enormous success because of YOU and your dedication to our mission and the Community. Luke's Love brought us together and you truly gave from your Heart! PHASE II - FUNDRAISING APPEAL
Phase II is almost complete but we still need to put the finishing touches on this exceptional project. We continue to seek individual donations and Business Sponsorships for Phase II which includes but is not limited to the following:

- Engraved brick pathway and garden
- Entrance benches and beautification
- Solar trash/recycling compactor called 'Big Belly'

Enormous thanks go out to the vendors who have donated their time and
materials for our accessible parking area: T&K ASPHALT SERVICES, AGGREGATE INDUSTRIES, HICKEY CONSTRUCTION and J.J. DELANEY, INC. We
have also received many, generous donations from the Community that
have been earmarked for the parking area and Phase II... Thank you very
much! The
certification process for an 'exceptional' Boundless Playground
requires the parking area to be fully accessible with direct access to
the play equipment through ramped pathways. We received Boundless
Playground certification on June 30, 2010.
A HUGE THANK YOU to ROBERT B. OUR COMPANY for their excellent excavation work! They have graciously cleared stumps, hauled them from the site, graded and prepped the site for the Community Build, all out of the GOODNESS in their Hearts. They exemplify generosity and Community Spirit above all expectations!

The Boundless Playground Concept
It is exceptional to find a playground in a community that is barrier-free. Built so that all
children, with and without disabilities, can engage in productive play.
The NationalCenter for Boundless Playgrounds is the first national non-profit dedicated to
helping communities create extraordinary playgrounds where all children, with and
without disabilities, can develop essential skills for life as they learn together through play.
Boundless Playgrounds® provides leadership, training, technical and support services to
promote play environments that are barrier-free and provide children of all abilities
with developmental advantages. There are currently over 160 Boundless Playgrounds with
many more in the works.

in our community where they can play, grow, learn and laugh together.
